What is an Acura Certified used car?

High performance meets first-class luxury and comfort. That's always been the Acura standard - and Acura Certified Used Cars are no exception. With an Acura Certified Used Car, you're getting access to an exclusive selection of vehicles. Each of which has been carefully scrutinized and maintained to ensure it meets Acura's highest measures of performance, reliability, safety and value.

What advantages does an Acura Certified?

Only select vehicles qualify for this program. To ensure long-term durability and performance, they must be a Canadian, late-model Acura and be screened for any body or frame repairs. Each used Acura is carefully inspected, detailed, and brought to current maintenance levels as set out by the manufacturer. The result is certainty that your Acura is among the highest quality vehicles on the road. And with financing options available through Acura Financial Services, it's luxury within reach.

High standards require strict measures.

The path to becoming an Acura Certified used car starts with a rigorous 125-point inspection. Acura technicians scrutinize all major vehicle systems, including brakes, engine and powertrain, steering and suspension, tires, wheels, exhaust system and the vehicle's interior and exterior. Any component that falls below Acura standards is replaced with a Genuine Acura Part or restored to like-new condition. Ultimately, each step in the process is designed to ensure your used Acura meets or exceeds your highest expectations.

Acura NSX Supercar

Acura is set to debut it's NSX supercar at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. This is no mere concept car, it's a production version. The original NSX, created in 1991 and discontinued in 2005 is the inspiration for the new model, set to become the brand's halo car. Acura has high hopes that the NSX will breathe some new life into the brand, and boost car sales as it takes on the Audi R8 and Porsche 911. Acura car sales are not currently keeping up with the market, which has grown 5.5 percent this year. The company is doing much better with their light trucks, up 13 percent this year. “The next-generation NSX will deliver a 'new sports experience' true to its heritage and to the supercar concept that originally gave rise to the name NSX,” said Mike Accavitti, Acura division senior vice president and general manager, in a statement. “The NSX will serve as the ultimate expression of Acura performance that is fuelling a re-energized brand.”
